Overview

Montreal Pride Festival stands as the foremost LGBTQ+ gathering in the Francophone world, complemented by the city's inclusive gay bars and LGBTQ+ venues, and featuring an extravagant star-studded show. Join us on August 4th as we celebrate with fellow queer members with live music, ballroom / voguing performances, and a grand festival celebration at Les Guinguettes along with local queer organizations like FÊTE DU SOL and ElleLui. The day will be hosted by our queer local and talented musician DÈVE. In 1979, Montreal held its first Pride march, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, with 52 participants. By 2019, the event witnessed remarkable growth, attracting over 3 million attendees. This year's festival offers live performances and activities at Olympic Park's Esplanade, the Gay Village, and downtown, embracing LGBTQ+ pride and inclusivity. The journey from a modest march to a grand spectacle showcases the community's progress and visibility. 🏳️‍🌈
