Overview
Old Skl Voguing Classes is open to people of all levels, especially beginners to voguing/dancing. Next class is on Saturday 18th May from 6pm - 8pm, Ample Space. It doesn't matter if you've not danced before or never heard of Voguing. This is a relaxed space for people of all abilities & backgrounds to discover Ballroom, discover themselves and most importantly to have fun! 🎈 During the classes Bronze West talks very frankly about things that can be triggering to some eg. discrimination, gender, sexuality, mental illness, addiction etc. Please bear this in mind when booking 🌱 Please wear clothes/shoes you can move freely and comfortably in, and bring water if possible. 💙 Timings 6-6:25 PM - Intro, Ballroom history & culture 6:25-6:40 PM - Meditation, Warm Up 6:40-7:40 PM - Core & Focus technique drills (will vary each week) 7:40-7:55 PM - Stretch down, Meditation You will receive access instructions to the venue via email upon booking. Bronze is a movement director & coach, and an Up-And-Coming Legend from the captivating House Of 🔱est. A nurturing & supportive figure in the community, they have been a driving force in making the UK Ballroom scene more accessible to QTIBPoC, including co-founding London's original mini ball series Vogue Rites fka Turn It.
Learn the history & art of voguing
You will learn the Voguing foundation (Classic Performance), Ballroom history & culture, intuitive movement, Q&A/discussions, obscure food analogies. Voguing is a dance-based art form that is just one part of Ballroom - a culture that grew from the Black and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities in prisons and the Harlem drag ball scene.

Do i need any voguing or dancing experience?
No! not at all. Come as you are.
Who can attend?
Anyone who is from the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally. Open to beginners and all levels.
What should i wear?
Anything you can move freely in, and feel comfortable moving about in is ideal.
