About The Chef: Fatima “Fatti” Tarkleman

About The Chef: Fatima “Fatti” Tarkleman

In the culinary world, navigating macho environments while being open about one's queer identity presents challenges. For Fatti finding peers who share similar experiences proves difficult amidst the kitchen culture. Sitting at the intersection of various identities—pansexual, polyamorous, mixed race, neurodivergent, a migrant, and gender fluid —adds layers of complexity. Never conforming to societal norms, Fatti's cooking reflects her diverse background and refusal to be confined to traditional labels. Embracing a 'queer sensibility', she brings together a cross-cultural cuisine which draws inspiration from her heritage, travels, and personal passions.
